Scotti Knights Motorcycle Clothing and Accessories
Terms and Conditions as of March 2009
Payment of the whole of the price for the goods must be received for all orders prior to the order being accepted. Once payment has been received, the details of the order will be confirmed by the email entered at the time of ordering.
Payments made by credit or debit cards will taken by the merchant account on purchase by the customer. Full refunds will be made in accordance with the refunds procedure decribed below.
Postage
Two sets of postage costs apply. The postage costs to the UK mainland only are detailed here, the postage to the European Union are detailed on the EU Postage Page. We are not currently shipping motorcycle clothing to non UK destinations but will look to dispatch to other geographies in 2011.
The current UK postage rates are as follows:-
Where items are discounted, or multiple purchase offers are available, the recommended retail price of the discounted items will be displayed also.
From time to time voucher schemes may be introduced either at an individual level or as a generic code advertised on line. Certain items may be exempt from the voucher scheme. These will be clearly identified on the site.
The motorcycle clothing voucher scheme is currently inactive.
If any clothing items sell out, the web site stock inventory page will be updated at the next available opportunity. The purchaser will be notified the same day where possible and if a satisfactory alternative is not available or the new stated lead time for delivery is unacceptable, the payment transaction will be voided. The web site will be updated to reflect the stock position as soon as is practicable.
Security
All payments made through this web site are handled by the romancart.com shopping cart, for item ordering and by PayPal Website Payments Pro for credit card detail collection and processing. All sensitive data transmission is encrypted using SSL encryption. Any credit or debit card details are not made available to Scotti Knights and are handled securely by the PayPal payment systems.

Privacy
Scotti Knights does not have access to, nor stores in any way any customer payment details whatsoever. The only details available to Scotti Knights from the ordering systems are name, shipping address, phone number, email address and any of the options selected such as 'where did you hear about us' information. If a customer wishes to modify or remove any of these then they are advised to do so via the 'Contact Us' facilty on the site.
Scotti Knights will not intentionally disclose any customer data to third party organisations or individuals. Scotti Knights may from time to time advise the customers of various offers and promotions if they have selected the option to do so on making their purchase. This will be perfomed using the customers entered email address.
Data delivered to Scotti Knights from the payments systems, (Pay Pal and Romancart) will be maintained on a local hard drive and not made available to a public network.
Returns/Exchange Policy
- The return/exchange of merchandise can be made within 5 working days of receipt following email notification as described below.
- If an exchange is due to an error on the part of Scotti Knights, or a defect with the product that occurred during the manufacturing or shipping process, Scotti Knights will exchange the product and the customer will incur no additional postage charges. If however the exchange is due to incorrect ordering then the customer will be obliged to pay for any additional postage charges incurred by the exchange process and a discretionary handling fee of 5% of the list price of the merchandise returned may be applied.
- In the case of motorcycle helmets, then any defect must be notified via email within 2 working days hours of delivery. Scotti Knights will happily inspect and replace any defective helmet free of charge that is reported within the 2 day notification period. For safety reasons, Scotti Knights cannot exchange or refund the cost of any helmet reported outside of the 2 day period nor any helmet that has had its delivery lables removed.
- Note :- Scotti Knights do not currently offer motorcycle helmets online.
Return/Exchange Procedure
- Contact Scotti Knights via email or telephone (during advertised hours) as detailed on the 'Contact Us' page of the web site. Quote the reference number originally issued at the time of purchase.
- All merchandise must be returned or exchanged in the original packaging and in the same condition it was received.
- If exchanging products, merchandise must be returned undamaged, with no marks on the original manufacturer packaging and with any original labels still attached.
- Scotti Knights will arrange for inspection of returned goods for damage, misuse, improper packaging and/or missing parts.

Cancellations
In order to cancel an order, contact must be made by email or telephone before 12 noon the following working day to guarantee cancellation. Items in stock will be dispatched after this time, and once handed over to the couriers, orders will not be able to be cancelled. In the event of a telephone call not being answered, then a message left quoting the name and reference number will be sufficient to notify cancellation.
Disclaimer
We apologise if there any discrepancies due to typographical errors and reserve the right to correct them. We are not obliged to sell items at mis-marked prices. We apologise and make every effort to avoid these errors.We are not obliged to carry any item that has been discontinued by a manufacturer. All items are subject to availability.
Occasionally, items may not be available to ship at the time of your order. Most orders will be delivered within 5 working days of placing the order. If we are unable to dispatch any items within 4 business days, you will be notified by email as to the likely dispatch date. It is recommended that purchasers view the stock inventory to determine availability and lead times for our product range. The inventory will be updated daily as far as is practically possible to reflect the current stock levels. In the event of ordered stock being unavailable due to other orders prior to the inventory update, the purchaser will be noted by email prior to the posting of the next updated inventory.
From time to time, Scotti Knights may offer on line discounts or promotions on individual or groups of products. We are under no obligation to honour these promotions outside of the periods advertised on the web site.
Scotti Knights MCC Ltd are not responsible for any damages to persons or property arising from the use of any of the products sold on this web site. Any helmets sold via the site are ECU2205 compliant as provided by the manufacturers.
The protection offered by the current range of clothing is CE approved and designed to lessen potential injury and abrasions in the event of minor collisions or low speed dismount from the motorcycle. It is not designed to protect riders in the case of significant impacts or high speed dismounts. Care must be taken at all times when riding motorcycles. Scotti Knights recommend appropriate training and advice from professional motorcycle instructors prior to riding a motorcycle on the UK roads.
